1.5.8 Adverbial clauses of future time


The verb forms in the following sentences, all referring to future time. The main clause has a future verb form, but the adverbial clause as the present simple or present perfect, e.g.:



We'll have lunch when your mother arrives.
(Dinarem quan arribi la vostra mare.)
They'll continue working until it gets dark.
(Seguiran treballant fins que es faci fosc.)

As soon as the rain has stopped, I'll go to the shops.
(Tan bon punt hagi parat de ploure, aniré a les botigues.)

Will they finish everything before the bell goes?
(Acabaran abans que soni el timbre?)
