9.10.4 Sentence relative clauses




Compare the following sentences:



They got married in Westminster Abbey, which is close to the Parliament.
(Se casaron en la abadía de Westminster, que está cerca del Parlamento.)
They got married in Westminster Abbey, which pleased all their friends.
(Se casaron en la abadía de Westminster, que gustó mucho a todos sus amigos.)


In the first sentence, which refers to Westminster Abbey; in the second sentence which refers to the fact that they got married in Westminster Abbey.
