7.2 Prepositions of movement

We can use many prepositions for both place and movement, e.g.:

The house lies between the church and the pub.
(Place; La casa es troba entre l'església i el pub.)
Mary walked quickly between the two groups.
(Movement; La Mary caminava ràpidament entre els dos grups.)

Prepositions that are specifically for movement are to, into and onto, e.g.:

Jim walked to the park.
(En Jim va anar al parc caminant.)
Tom walked into the restaurant.
(En Tom va entrar al restaurant.)
They moved the lamps onto the stage.
(Van traslladar els llums a sobre l'escenari.)
