5.7 Already, still, yet

We use already (ja), still (encara) and yet (encara) with the present and perfect tenses, e.g.:

The guests are already here. (Els convidats ja hi són.)

The taxi isn't here yet. (El taxi encara no ha vingut.)

The taxi still isn't here. (El taxi encara no ha vingut.)

The painters are still working on the building. (Els pintors encara treballen a l'edifici.)

Jackie has already finished her report. (La Jackie ja ha acabat l'informe.)

Jimmy hasn't finished his report yet. (En Jimmy encara no ha acabat l'informe.)

Jimmy still hasn't finished his report. (En Jimmy encara no ha acabat l'informe.)
