1.6.2 Past participle




Forms: gone, taken, walked, passed.


We can use past participles as adjectives and in the perfect and passive verb forms.

Notice the difference between the past participles gone and been:



Mary has gone to Paris.
(La Mary ha anat a París.)
(This implies that Mary is in Paris now.)
James has been to Paris.
(En James ha visitat París.)
(This implies that James is not in Paris now.)
