7.2 Prepositions of movement

We can use many prepositions for both place and movement, e.g.:

The house lies between the church and the pub.
(Place; La casa está situada entre la iglesia y el pub.)
Mary walked quickly between the two groups.
(Movement; Mary caminaba rápidamente entre los dos grupos.)

Prepositions that are specifically for movement are to, into and onto, e.g.:

Jim walked to the park.
(Jim fue al parque caminando.)
Tom walked into the restaurant.
(Tom entró en el restaurante.)
They moved the lamps onto the stage.
(Colocaron las luces sobre el escenario.)
