5.8 Else

We use else (más) with question words what?, where?, who?, etc., and with somebody, anybody, nobody, something, anything, nothing, somewhere, anywhere, nowhere, etc., e.g.:

A: Who came? (¿Quién vino?)

A: Who else came? (¿Quién más vino?)

A: Did anyone else come? (¿Vino alguien más?)

I know you can drive a car. What else can you do? (Sé que sabes conducir, ¿qué más sabes hacer?)

I don't like this restaurant. Let's go somewhere else. (No me gusta este restaurante. Vámonos a otro.)

Here are the potatoes and the fruit. Anything else? (Aquí tienes las patatas y la fruta, ¿qué más?)

I've tried everything. I don't know what else I can do. (Lo he intentado todo. No sé qué más puedo hacer.)
