9.10.4 Sentence relative clauses




Compare the following sentences:



They got married in Westminster Abbey, which is close to the Parliament.
(Es van casar a l'abadia de Westminster, la qual és a prop del Parlament.)
They got married in Westminster Abbey, which pleased all their friends.
(Es van casar a l'abadia de Westminster, que va agradar a tots els seus amics.)


In the first sentence, which refers to Westminster Abbey; in the second sentence which refers to the fact that they got married in Westminster Abbey.
