9.5.1 Conditional sentences



Like Catalan, English has 4 basic types of Conditional sentences, which consist of two parts: a Main Clause and a Conditional Clause.

If you put oil on water, does it float?

(Si poses oli sobre aigua, sura?)


You get tired if you run a long way.

(Et canses si corres molt.)


If the weather is bad, there are more accidents.

(Si fa mal temps, hi ha més accidents.)


If you've been warned, you've got no excuse.

(Si t’han avisat, no tens excusa.)
