We use the present continuous for future time when there is a commitment with another person, e.g.:
| I can't go to the cinema because I'm having supper with Anne. (No puc anar al cinema perquè vaig a sopar amb l'Anne.) |
| We'll have to get up early because we're leaving at 8 o'clock. (Ens haurem de llevar d'hora perquè ens en anem a les 8.) |
